The question is how to educate children so they remain motivated lifelong learners ...driven by passion and joy. Montessori education offers a tested path to achieve this. Eduardo will explain the main benefits of a Montessori education, and the relevance of its proposals to today's world.

EDUARDO J. CUEVAS GONZÁLEZAMI Director of Training at the Montessori Training Centre of British Columbia, Canada for the past eighteen years, Mr. Cuevas is also presently studying a PhD in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia, (Vancouver) -which is the origin of the proposed presentation. Being continuously involved in the ‘training’ of Montessori teacher’s since 1975, Mr. Cuevas query’s Montessori’s understanding of pedagogical encounter in the education of the young child, as in her dictate to ‘Follow the Child’, which determines the role of the teacher, and the ramifications of best practices of teacher formation.

This workshop will explain what the “Montessori Home“ means, and highlight the most important principles, demonstrating how these can be applied quickly and easily. We will show you how to communicate with young children so that their speech development, and self-expression may be supported. Author's biography
Michaela Willheimová is a Montessori directress working with children from 0-6. In addition, she provides courses for adults, and gives parents workshops. She works with parents and children in the city of Begin, and supports parents who wish to implement the Montessori approach in their home environment. She also provides online parent education and assistance via www.dokazestosam.cz.
Kamila Balcarová has been a lecturer of education for 8 years, already. She has been accompanying young children and their parents in Montessorian workshops in family and educations´ centres.
She is focusing on the lecturing, leading seminars for parents, teachers and public as well. She is also providing individual consultations for parents. Kamila has completed AMI training in the category of 0-3.
